天気の良い土曜日の朝、Brianがめずらしくブランチを食べに、Lake Washington近くのレストランに行こう！と言い出した。でも、それは私を家から出す手段の一つだったと後で気がついた。フランスのカフェのようなレストランで、すごく美味しいフレンチトーストとオムレツを食べた後、湖沿いのMadisonParkを散歩して、帰途についた。その後、LarsとKeikoさん達とボーリングに行くことになっていたので、グロスリーして、家でちょっとゆっくりして、と思いきや…、家の扉を開けてキッチンへ行こうとしたその瞬間”Surprise!!!!”。OH MY GOD... I could not believe this. キッチンカウンターの後ろから、飛び出す、顔、顔、顔、顔、そして、顔。私の頭の中で、何が何だか消化できずにいる瞬間に撮られたこのショット By KAORUちゃん。３０分くらい正直、放心状態でした。

Brian asked our friends to help him make it through the long haul. (And Brian wants to say thanks to all our friends who were not here too -- He wishes he could have invited you all but our house is pretty small. We'll be more than happy to party with everyone individually over the next few weeks and months :-)
Since Brian has an alarmingly bad poker face, I never suspected in a million years that he would be able to pull off a surprise party, which of course worked in his favor. I was completely surprised and we had a nice little afternoon with you guys.
Brianほど、ポーカーフェースの出来ない人はこの世にいないと思っていたので、まさかこんなSurprise Partyを企画できるなんぞ思ってもいなかったので、驚きはもう１００倍でした。今、考えると、前日にBrianが家中の掃除を始めたりと、怪しい傾向はあったんですが…やられました。
39本のキャンドルはさすがに立てられないだろう（笑）
ポットラックで、沢山の食べ物を持ち寄ってくれてありがとう！キッチンから飛び出す顔の数に驚き、心臓発作が起きるかと思ったほど、びっくりさせられました。Hum... who is the next b-day girl or boy? I want to work hard on the preparation :-)
